Care home residents celebrate royal wedding

Posted on 28 April 2011

The royal wedding is all anyone has been talking about in the run up to the big event tomorrow (April 29th), and those paying for care are no exception.

Residents at the Ellesmere Port care homes are to reminisce about the royal weddings of the past, such as those of Princess Charles and Diana, and Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip during tomorrow's event.

They will mark the occasion in true English style with bunting and flags, watching prince William and Kate Middleton exchange their vows, reports the Ellesmere Port Pioneer.

Astbury Lodge in Great Sutton will host a traditional street party, which will be followed by a feast fit for a King. Champagne will be drank and favours have been made for the women.

Prince William is to wed Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey between 11.00 and 12.00 (GMT) tomorrow (April 29th). The momentous occasion is to be broadcast worldwide.
