Partnership and Friends Life are currently the two providers of long term care plans. They each offer two products to finance long term care fees:

Immediate Care Plans
These plans are designed for those who require residential or nursing home care, or care in the home (domiciliary care).

Deferred Care Plans
These plans are for  those who have enough funds to pay for residential, nursing or care in the home (domiciliary care) in the short term but will require certainty of income payments for the rest of their life in the future (reducing the cost of the plan).

On both versions the annuity payments are made tax-free when paid directly to a care provider².
