Will new care home be built in Gwynedd?

A new care facility could be built in Bangor, Gwynedd, if plans are given the go-ahead by local authorities, giving people a new option when choosing a care home.
The three-storey building would include parking spaces, landscaping and vehicle access, according to the plans submitted by developer Watkin Jones, the Bangor and Anglesey Mail reports.
However, Gwynedd Council is uncertain about the application, saying it is not yet clear whether the facility would serve as a nursing home or a residence for the elderly.
"We have to be careful because there are different types of care home and we would want to know if the building could have a change of use, without having to reapply for planning permission," Bangor town clerk Gwyn Hughes told the newspaper.
Nottinghamshire County Council was recently given £3 million to help improve services such as physical therapy and mobility support for elderly people leaving hospital, BBC News reports.
