Tamzin Outhwaite opens care home
Some celebrity glamour was brought to residents of a new care home in Waltham Abbey when a TV star opened the facility for those choosing a care home.
Ex-Eastenders star Tamzin Outhwaite helped to open the Enable Care Centre last Tuesday (May 10th), reports the Waltham Forest Guardian.
The actress reportedly chatted to the residents and their families before been given a tour of the facility, which features a spa, gym and sensory room.
Keith Hawley, director of Enable Care, told the newspaper: "We are delighted to have celebrated the official opening of 1 Sewarsdtone Close with residents, families and staff. We are also thrilled that Tamzin Outhwaite was here to kick off the celebrations.
"We have had a great response since we opened in November and we will continue to be committed to providing outstanding care for our residents."
This follows a report in the Sutton Guardian that ten new beds have been opened in Wallington for people with dementia.
The Newlands unit at Ryelands Care Home was opened by care minister Paul Burstow on May 6th.
