Sutton care home plans submitted

Proposals for a 42 bed care home to be built in Sutton could expand the options of people choosing a care home in the area.

Sandringham Investment Properties has submitted plans for the care home alongside a hotel to Ashfield District Council, reports Chad.co.uk.

Chief executive of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce George Cowcher told the news site that the new development could help create a positive impression of the area to visitors.

"We are at a crucial stage in the economic recovery where the cuts in public spending announced last year are finally starting to filter through, so any developments which encourage job creation, investment and growth have to be a good thing," he continued.

People choosing a care home in Gainsborough have also had their options widened, after the opening of the purpose-build Drovers Call care facility, reports the Gainsborough Standard.
