Strictly star swings by care home
Strictly Come Dancing star Erin Boag stopped by a Leeds care home this week, no doubt delighting residents paying for care in the facility.
Erin treated the residents with long term care plans to a dance session with the celeb, who also brought along some of the show's glitzy outfits to show off, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The star visited Airdale Residential Home in Pudsey as part of Bupa's Shall We Dance campaign, which aims to improve physical and emotional wellbeing in older people through dance.
According to the publication, Erin said: "It's good for the brain, the body and the soul. It stimulates their mind and is also quite social.
"It's a way of exercising that is enjoyable. You don’t have to slog and jog down the road, you can have fun and people of all ages and abilities can give it a go."
Meanwhile, an Indiana University study has revealed that stroke survivors, who are possibly paying for long term care, may be able to improve their balance and endurance skills by taking part in yoga classes.
