New Dunmurry facility expands options for those choosing a care home

People choosing a care home in Dunmurry will have more options thanks to the launch of a new 44-bed facility.
The Kilwee Care Home in Cloona Park was opened by Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Brian Heading, reports the Belfast Telegraph.
It will complement the services of an existing unit on an adjacent site by proving specialist intermediate and dementia care as well as residential nursing services.
Therese Conway, healthcare director of the Conway Group, which developed the unit, told the newspaper: "The opening of Kilwee Care Home marks our continued success as a company, success that has been achieved by our commitment to the care of our residents and their families."
Meanwhile, older adults in North Devon could soon have another care home to choose from too, if proposals get the go-ahead.
Oakland Care Homes Ltd has drawn up plans for a new retirement community, reports the North Devon Journal.
