Ledbury care worker wins national award
A woman who works with those paying for care in Ledbury has been recognised with a national award.
After winning the deputy manager/team leader category in Shaw Healthcare's West Midlands Shaw Star Awards, Jane Eversham has gone on to take the national award, according to the Ledbury Reporter.
Ms Eversham was rewarded for her efforts with a trophy, medallion, certificate and £500 cheque.
She told the publication: "I could not believe it when they called my name. I was absolutely speechless. It is a real honour to receive this award and I would like to acknowledge the help and support of my manager and colleagues."
Following her latest success, Ms Eversham will be entered into the Caring Times national awards, to be held in November.
This follows news that another woman who works with people with long term care plans received a prestigious award.
The Durham Times reports that Val McLoughlin of Chester-le-Street won the Regional Individual Award at the 20th annual Adult Learners' Week.
