Home Instead opens office in Rochdale
People have been given more possibilities when choosing a care home in Rochdale, after Home Instead Senior Care opened a new office in the town.
Home Instead aims to help older people to retain their independence by helping them to remain in their own homes for as long as possible, Rochdale Online reports.
As well as assisting with meal preparation and housekeeping, the company provides specialist services for people with dementia and other needs.
David Bradshaw, who set up the Rochdale office, said he took the job after leaving his previous position as managing director of an engineering firm.
"I was keen to start my own business where I could make a positive difference to the lives of people in the local area," he told the publication.
Meanwhile, councillors and health chiefs in Fife are drawing up plans for coping with Scotland's ageing population, which will be geared towards enabling in-home care.
