Hillings expansion takes Healthcare Homes group up to 1,001 beds

Posted on 13 December 2011

The Hillings care home in Eaton Socon, Cambridgeshire has added another six bedrooms as part of its ongoing expansion project.

The care provider now has 70 rooms for residents with 30 specifically designed for those suffering from dementia.

On top of the extra bedrooms, new communal lounges have been opened and the bathrooms have been given an ultra-modern make over with the latest state of the art equipment.

Home manager Carolyn Brown said that the changes have proven extremely popular with residents and they are looking forward to welcoming new residents in the near future.

She added: “We’re all thrilled with the end product. The home looks wonderful and the work has been done to such a high standard.”

The Hillings home is part of the Healthcare Homes group, which has 23 homes across East Anglia and the refurb at the Cambridgeshire home means that the entire group has 1001 beds available to residents.

The work further expands offerings to those in need of care
in the UK and comes in the same week as similar improvements were announced at a care home in South Wales.
