Care home entrepreneur returns to England for next project
Care home entrepreneur Eric Dixon, who has opened a number of facilities for people in Ireland paying for care, has come home to England for his next venture.
Mr Dixon helped to expand care home provider Silver Stream into the biggest operator in Ireland, according to the Journal.
He has succeeded in securing bank funding to open the Willow Park Care Home in Pontefract Yorkshire, potentially expanding the options of those choosing a care home in the region.
"We will be looking to develop further sites over the coming years with the eventual aim of recreating the scale of operation we achieved in the Republic of Ireland," Mr Dixon told the publication.
This follows a report in the Worcester News which reported that a luxury care home may be built opposite Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
If the plans get the go-ahead, the facility would be ready to house those paying for care in 2012.
