Awards ceremony for hardworking Sheffield care home staff
Carers who work with people paying for long term care in Sheffield have been honoured at an awards ceremony, it has been reported.
Bosses at the Eagle House in Stalker Lees Road, Sharrow, decided to show their appreciation for the hardworking staff at the care home, reports The Star.
Prizes were granted for employees' work over the past six months and those who had retired after 20 years service were also honoured.
Jason Axford, project manager, told the newspaper: "This is to recognise staff for their individual achievements, such as passing training courses, self-development and working over and above their roles."
It seems as though glam events have been occurring at care homes up and down the country, with Wamil Court Care Home in Mildenhall being treated to a luxurious day of pampering by beauty students at West Suffolk College.
The 14 to 16-year-old pupils indulged those paying for care with a day of nail filing, nail painting and hand massages.
